![]() This website is a companion site to Mr. Bradley's 9th and 10th grade International Baccalaureate Language Arts classes taught at Palm Harbor University High School in Palm Harbor, Florida. If you have any suggestions or questions, please don't hesitate to send me an email at bradleysc@pcsb.org. You can also stop and sign my guestbook here. Each semester is divided into three units, which in turn are based on one work (or one series of poems) apiece. The various categories and subjects for each class and topic are... Please also note that I reserve the right to change works (with ample notice, of course) during the course of the year. Lesson plans may differ slightly from the content displayed in the Agenda section on occasion, as well. Simply focus on this one thing, and you'll see results. Prepare for class. Are you ready to discuss and write about what you’ve read? Have you thought about the reading? Are you prepared to go beyond the obvious and analyze the text? Have any assignments been scanned and proofread? Use your class time wisely. Actively participate in Vocab Forums and class discussions. Take notes, even if you aren’t sure if you should. Pay attention to discussions and in-class reading – this is an important part of our analysis of the work. Be on task! Be responsible. Be involved with your education. Take the initiative. Track your own grades, follow up on absences - be the master of your own fate. I can only be as effective a teacher as you allow me to be, and this class is only as good as you make it. Have a goal. If you have no goal, you have nothing to achieve. Ask yourself constant questions: why am I in IB? What do I want to get out of my education at PHUHS? What do I hope to get out of this class? The work I’m reading? What exactly am I preparing for? You are visitor number... |
