Hello fellow booster members,
Here's whats happening;

Regrettably, the band trip planned to Orlando has been cancelled due to lack of interest. As reported earlier, we needed a minimum of 40 students participating in the trip to meet the requirements of Universal Theme Parks. We fell about 10 people short and could not rally enough students to fill the need. It's unfortunate. The trip promised to be a lot of fun.

On a positive note, the booster board has begun planning for this year's band banquet. This year it looks like we will be returning to the Countryside Country Club. This is a very nice venue and has been held here for several years in the past. Tentatively, the banquet date has been set for Thursday evening, May 13, 2010. Additional information will be released as it becomes available. Also, don't forget that we need pictures. Over the next couple of months we will be taking your pictures and assembling a slide presentation for viewing after the banquet awards ceremony. If you have some cool photos and would like to have them included, please put them on a disk, CD, DVD etc. and drop them off in the band room mailbox or give them to Mr. Mac. Don't forget to include your name on the disk so that we can return them. We also need Senior baby pictures. The banquet has always been a great time...good food and friends and it is a way to recognize all of the students and their hard work thoughout the year. Don't forget to mark your calendars!

Once again, it is that time of the year. The booster board needs to set it's slate for new board members to serve the organization for 2010/2011. There will be several vacancies that will need to be filled in order for the organization to continue operation. This is a great opportunity for a band parent to get involved, bring in new ideas and help make the organization successful. If interested, please contact Cheryl Sharpe at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it or Cindy Sims at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . They will be happy to explain what positions are available and the responsibilities of each. Again, filling all of these positions is absolutely necessary to maintain operation of our booster organization.

Until next time...

On behalf of the C5MPB board,
Bill Evans
